Primary Health Services

Primary Health Services have as their goal "healthy people and healthy communities". They have a focus on health promotion, the prevention of ill health and the early identification and intervention for health problems. They take a health team approach to address the physical, social and emotional health needs of their clients.

Services are provided at various locations - child health centres, schools and community health centres throughout the Swan Health Service area.

Child Development Teams at Lockridge Community Health Centre and Midland Child Development Centre provide specialist services to children and families with specific needs.

Lockridge Community Health Centre also provides a range of primary health services - podiatry, diabetes education, asthma management, parenting programs, occupational therapy, speech pathology and physiotherapy for children and adults.
